As of right now, there are no Certified Candidates listed for the Village of Minerva Park on the Franklin County Board of Elections website.
**Update** I have been informed that the BOE generally does not list candidates for villages such as ours on this list. Hence why none of the other villages have anyone listed, either.
If you or someone you know is interested in running for an elected office in Minerva Park (or any location in Franklin County) you should see the Petition Management page on the BOE website.
Due to recent legislation in our community, there will no longer be a Clerk/Treasurer position available in the 2011 election, however the role of Mayor and two Council Member positions are up for election this year.
The deadline to submit your petition to be on the November ballot for Minerva Park is at 4pm on Wednesday, August 10th.
Personally, I encourage all interested to run, because a common theme of council members/politicians running unopposed has led us to what we have today. It's time for change in the way Minerva Park is handled, and the only way to truly do that is to have a change in elected officials. If you are interested, please, consider running.
These emails are an example of our mayor/ council members' poor professionalism and bad attitude. When faced with simple questions or requests, they quickly become argumentative, defensive and all out nasty. They are public servants who are in place to serve our village, and provide guidance, not to degrade.
ReplyDeleteITS TIME FOR A CHANGE IN MINERVA PARK!
The people of the park should not be treated like this.
