Comment Policies

The purpose of this blog is sharing of information. As such, I value the opportunity for the public to speak their minds and share information and memories they have about Minerva Park.

At present, a public-influenced forum is not supported on blogger. Guests wishing to voice their opinions are currently limited to leaving comments after posts.

Part of the value of this venue is that residents (and non-residents) can remain anonymous in voicing their opinions. There is a history of an abuse of power from those in control in our village and it has been used against those who have voiced an opinion opposing that of their own. An aim of this blog is to change that.

Freedom of speech is limited, however, with the imposition on the freedoms of others. While I will not monitor every single comment posted (they automatically get posted after submitted, I do not approve before posting) I ask that comments refrain from direct bashing, banter, or abuse. The topics shared here are often felt strongly about and I ask that we remain civil and somewhat productive in sharing our facts and opinions on the issues.

Blogger employes a Spam filter in the posting of comments, and occasionally I will be sure to clear this folder out and get those accidentally filtered into spam on the blog.

Comments may be posted anonymously or using names. The choice is that of the commenter.
I have no control over what is posted by that of the general public in response to posts on this blog. As a blogger administrator I have the ability to remove comments after they have been posted, but I do not filter them before they go live. If requested, I can remove comments aimed against specific individuals or when asked by the poster. I will, however, document the comments before removing them.

Thank you for your understanding, respect, and participation in commenting on this blog.

  2. Hello~
I wanted to let you know that there will be a special council meeting on June 27th at 7pm to vote on the golf course committee's recommendations. I'm trying to spread the word about this meeting and thought you might want to post it on your blog.

    Thanks,
    Jennifer Pauken

  3. Hello~
Just want to put the word out that there will be a Planning & Zoning meeting on Monday, Sept. 23rd at 7pm. The P&Z Commission will be taking a first look at the plans for the Fischer Homes development. Although this is a public meeting, it is not a town hall meeting or a public hearing; however, I encourage interested residents to attend. Hope to see you there.

    Thanks,
    Jennifer Pauken
